Privacy

The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does no tracking. Searches run in your browser and are not sent anywhere. The site has no forms and no accounts.

Who we are

Informatio is a concept site run by Jordan Brookes, a sole trader based in Nottingham, England, trading as Built by Brookes. In this notice “we” means Jordan. For anything in it, email hello@builtbybrookes.com.

Searching

When you search the directory, the filtering happens on your device. The words you type are added to the address in your browser so that you can share or bookmark a search; they are not sent to us.

Links to other sites

Place pages link to OpenStreetMap, to places’ own websites as recorded there, and to your maps app. Those sites and apps have their own privacy notices, and this site passes nothing to them beyond the address you click.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (your IP address, the page requested and the time) for security and reliability. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Email

If you email us about the site, we keep the message only as long as it takes to deal with it, and delete it on request.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing it. Email hello@builtbybrookes.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
